The Secret is Out! is the eighth episode of Metal Cardbot, and the episode where Anna discovers the existence of Metal Cardbots.

Plot

Jun‘s birthday is tomorrow, but his parents appear to have forgotten it, assigning him household chores to do instead. While he works at the cafe, Vera spies on him from the bushes. When confronted by Anna, Vera exclaims that Jun is hiding a deep secret. Anna confronts Teo about the secret; panicking, he says that the secret is Jun’s birthday. Excited by the news, she sets off to buy a cake and make a surprise party, despite Teo’s concern.

At home, Jun summons Shadow X and Mega Trucker, who excitedly work on lawn chores. When Blue Cop questions if they will be seen, Jun tasks him, Mega Ambler, and Phoenix Fire to guard the street. Teo and Anna approach Phoenix Fire to be let through, which Jun allows, as he believes only Teo is visiting. However, when Anna shows up, Jun scrambles to hide the Cardbots before Anna sees them. Blue Cop, having not heard anything from Jun, returns to the house and crashes into an invisible Shadow X, begging Jun for commands through the Metal Breath. Anna, frustrated by Jun and Teo’s shady behavior, storms out of the house and witnesses the Metal Cardbots for the first time.

At Edo‘s workshop, Jun and Edo plead with her to keep the Metal Cardbots’ presence secret. Anna argues that children cannot handle alien contact alone without alerting adult authorities, as adults know everything. When Anna suddenly receives a call from her father Jacques, who is the mayor of Mowtown, the team panics, fearing that he already knows about them.
