0 Seconds to Destruction is the ninth episode of Metal Cardbot.

Plot

Anna‘s father Jacques was simply calling to tell her about a 300-foot meteorite approaching Earth, and that she should not miss seeing it. Mayor Jacques assures the public it will burn up harmlessly in the atmosphere; however, Blue Cop recognizes it as an escape pod from planet Machina. Built from a heat-resistant alloy, the craft would not disintegrate upon entry, setting it to collide with Mowtown within two hours.

While Anna and Teo attempt to convince Mayor Jack to issue an evacuation order without revealing the secret of the Metal Cardbots, Edo and Jun hack into a satellite uplink to attempt to communicate with the pod and steer it away from Mowtown. While their transmission successfully diverts the main craft toward the ocean southwest of Mowtown, part of the craft breaks off and plummets directly toward a residential neighborhood, where Anna has gone to retrieve Jun’s birthday gift.

Jun mobilizes all of his Metal Cardbots to help combine their energy into Mega Trucker‘s Shoulder Shield, activating his “Ultra Mega Power Shield”. Using up all of their power, they successfully deflect the falling debris outside of the city. Witnessing their courage and selflessness, Anna officially vows to keep the Metal Cardbots a secret; however, the contents of the escape pods remain a mystery.
