Tachi is a Wild Cardbot introduced in Metal Cardbot W that transforms into a yellow sports car. They are a fast runner, with a cheetah motif in their design.

Production

Tachi was designed by Guiltyfish, who took inspiration from track and field athletes, incorporating elements of athletic uniforms into the design. The head design was inspired by the character Nae-ri ↗ from the Korean animated series Run, Hani.¹

Tachi was unveiled on the official SAMG toy development Twitter account on January 2, 2026.²

Trivia

• The name “Tachi”, despite being “cheetah” backwards, was arbitrarily chosen from the project name “tachyon” (타키온).¹
• Tachi was the first character to be confirmed female by its toy designer¹. (See Genders of Cardbots)
