Deus Machina is the unseen “mother computer” that created the Metal Cardbots and treasures such as the Metal Breath and Star Crown. Their name is derived from “Deus ex machina”, meaning “God from the machine”.

Deus Machina’s memory core resides in a sanctuary protected by the Star Guardians, a force of Metal Cardbots formed to protect Deus Machina from outside threats such as the Wild Cardbots.12

Deus Machina is held in high regard by Metal Cardbots such as Blue Cop,3 but the events of Metal Cardbot S and Metal Cardbot W suggest that Deus Machina withheld secrets such as the destruction of planet Machina4 and what Flame Nova discovered at the lowest levels of Machina.5

The Metal Breath has a unique connection to Deus Machina, as how it chooses its user is linked to Deus Machina in some way.6
