Fire Truck with a Phobia is the fifth episode of Metal Cardbot, and the episode where Phoenix Fire is sealed.

Plot

At the Milky Way restaurant, Jun‘s father presents a flaming dessert called the “Flame Tower” to impress Anna, but a rogue fire truck abruptly smashes through the window and drenches them in extinguishing foam. Hearing similar incidents happening across the city, Mega Ambler recognizes the culprit as Phoenix Fire, a decorated rescue firefighter from planet Machina who received the prestigious Metal Medal. However, due to his traumatic landing on Earth and a damaged temperature sensor, Phoenix Fire had developed an obsessive phobia of fire.

At school, the kids’ teacher conducts a demonstration involving fire, bringing Phoenix Fire to the scene. Hatching a plan, Teo activates the fire alarm to safely evacuate the building while Jun lights a flare to catch Phoenix Fire in the act. Jun summons Blue Cop to confront the firefighter, but Blue Cop takes heavy damage during the clash. Mega Ambler treats Blue Cop’s injuries on the spot, allowing him to recover and subdue Phoenix Fire with a Megavolt Punch, where Jun can seal him.

Back at Edo‘s workshop, Edo replaces Phoenix Fire’s burned sensor with an Earth-made component. Before the group can celebrate, Anna drops by with a homemade apple pie to thank Jun for checking on students during the alarm, causing Phoenix Fire to almost panic once again.
