English localization

The English localization of Metal Cardbot aims to bring the series to English-speaking countries, such as Southeast Asia, the Americas, and Europe. While the companies in charge of localization have changed over time, it is often cited for having numerous errors and reduced quality compared to the Korean version.

Metal Cardbot dub

The English dub of the first season of Metal Cardbot was produced by Central Entertainment and premiered on Singapore’s Okto on 5 on August 31, 2024, running two episodes per week until November 23. On January 17, 2025, the dub was added to the first episode on the official Metal Cardbot YouTube channel using YouTube’s Audio Tracks feature, but no other episodes were given this treatment.1

While the voice cast of the English dub remained unknown for some time, certain voice actors posted about their involvement on Instagram and Reddit23. The full cast was later revealed in the Taiwanese dub of the first season:

Agabyss involvement

At the New York Toy Fair on March 1, 2025, American toy distributor Agabyss Distribution announced that the first season and its toys was coming to the United States in late 2025.4 Notably, Blue Cop was renamed to “Blue Cobalt” and Black Hook to “Steel Hook”.5

Despite Agabyss’s intentions to create a new English dub for a United States release using the new names, budget and time constraints led to the Central Entertainment dub being used with no changes. The dub was shown off at BotCon ‘25 on June 13, 2025, where additional name changes were made (Mega Trucker to “Mech Tackle”, Buster Gallon to “Bluster Gale”, and “Blue Cobalt” to “Blue Star”).6

The official English Metal Cardbot YouTube channel, @metalrcardbotTV_eng(sic), was created on June 19, 2025. Episodes of the first season’s English dub began uploading weekly on June 27, 2025. The show was also be made available for purchase on Amazon Prime Video in late July for $24.99.

The BotCon Twitter account was used for providing Metal Cardbot updates, along with an official Facebook page that created on September 24, 2025.

The first wave of toys was made available for preorder on Agabyss’s official website on October 7 at 1 PM EST, with an estimated shipping date of early 2026.7 A bonus was provided for ordering the entire wave at $212.95 ($0.25 more than ordering the wave individually), though details about the bonus were not announced.

The toys were also made available on Big Bad Toy Store (BBTS), though at a significant markup:
